If I told you my year had actually slowed down from last year…you probably wouldn’t believe me! One thing I haven’t caught up on is blogging…but hey people are more important right?! And…blogging is way to keep tract of the things I do…so this post is more of a journal entry than anything else!
In March, (yes this post is 6 months late) I took a quick weekend trip to Florida with my good friend Havalind. We seriously had WAY to much fun talking and singing “Happy” which happened to be on the radio every time we turned it on! I had never been to anything remotely tropical before so it was quite fun to experience a new place. In the 3 days we were there we saw parts of Miami (think Burn Notice), drove the Keys and saw lots of amazingly clear water, not to shabby of a sunset, camped along the water in a “interesting and noisy” campground, went for a walk/run over the Key’s water, found a Dunkin Donuts for coffee, went and saw alligators at the National Everglades, learned they are non-violent reptiles, drove through a large amount of Cypress trees, went to Naples white sand beach, did some swimming in the warm water, pretended to read on the beach, camped at a quiet KOA, ate ice cream for dinner, woke up to find our tent completely soaked from the humidity, saw church in the park, walked downtown Naples realized we were way to young for the town, had coffee and key lime pie, accidentally ended up at an overpopulated dog beach, drove more coast, and then back to the airport!
And that is how you do a crazy weekend trip! Disclaimer…a lot of these are fish eye photos as it is my go to travel lens!
